Thanks to everyone who made 2019 a great camp season. Check back for information on our 2020 summer experiences. See below for what the camps were in 2019.
Melodic Connections’ summer experiences are a great place to connect, make friends and build social skills over the summer months. Led by board certified music therapists and certified art and drama educators, these sessions provide unique arts experiences in a fun, safe and motivating environment. Our partners, Visionaries + Voices, The Cincinnati Ballet and Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati help make a great summer experience with plenty of options to fit all abilities and interests. The Art of Being Social
For ages 5-8. Melodic Connections provided a unique week-long summer camp in conjunction with leading arts partners. Campers spent their day engaging in custom designed dance, theater and music-based enrichment. We supported each camper’s abilities and provided opportunities for positive social interactions.
For ages 9-12, a summer evening pre-teen hang out! Tweens sought out friendships during the summer evening hours, similar to their peers. Guided, facilitated social time was included to develop and nurture age-appropriate social skills — in a warehouse stocked with music and music technology.
For ages 13 – 18, Melodic Connections provided a week long cohort experience for artists of all abilities. Learners had the opportunity to choose a discipline focus: music, visual art, theatre or dance. Daily experiences occurred in small groups of 2 to 5 around Cincinnati. An artist showcase completed the week.
